New Features
Search in Firefox
Firefox makes searching the Web faster with a search box in the
Navigation toolbar and integrated I'm Feeling LuckyTM Google
search in the Location bar.
You can access the search box by pointing your mouse to the search box on the top right corner of the browser. Enter your query term and press Enter. You no longer have to visit a web site to perform a search, it's all available right from your browser.
Firefox comes pre-installed with the most popular and useful search engines: Google, Yahoo, Amazon, eBay, and Dictionary.com. Best of all you can download more search plug-ins.
Live Bookmarks
Live Bookmarks is a new technology in Firefox that lets you view RSS news and blog headlines in the bookmarks toolbar or bookmarks menu. With one glance, quickly see the latest headlines from your favorite sites. Go directly to the articles that interest you -- saving you time.
A site is enabled for Live Bookmarks when you see this icon on the bottom right corner of the browser.
Clicking on the icon and selecting an RSS feed will bring up the Add
Bookmark dialog. Select 'OK' and you will see Live Bookmarks with
the rest of your bookmarks. Many people find it especially convenient to save Live Bookmarks in their Bookmarks Toolbar folder.
Tabbed Browsing
Tabbed browsing makes surfing the web faster and more convenient. Web pages are loaded in "tabs" within the same browser window, making it easy to switch back and forth among multiple web pages. Tabbed browsing is perfect for reading the news or sifting through search results.
You can open a new tab by going to the File menu -> New Tab or Ctrl+T with your keyboard. To open a link in a new tab, right click on it and choose "Open in New Tab," or just middle click the link on Windows.
You can also load all your favorite web sites with one click. Bookmark all your favorite web sites (or the sites you visit daily) and place them in a folder. Selecting 'Open in Tabs' through bookmarks, loads your favorites sites all at once - saving you time.
